While the landscape had natural beauty, it lacked structure, created ongoing maintenance challenges, and visually hid the architecture of the home itself.
The homeowners were looking for a cleaner, more modern outdoor environment that would feel cohesive, functional, and easier to maintain long-term.
Existing planting beds had become overgrown and visually crowded around the main gathering areas.
Design and Preparation
We developed a courtyard design centered around geometric forms, decorative aggregate, low-water plantings, natural boulders, and clean transitions between materials.
Design development focused on balancing hardscape structure with soft desert-inspired planting textures.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Decorative hardscape surfaces, custom aggregate zones, and clean planting edges were installed to establish structure and contrast. The project combined xeriscape materials, accent stone, and drought-tolerant planting selections to create a courtyard that feels modern, open, and highly functional.

The Finished Product
The completed courtyard now feels open, architectural, and intentionally connected to the home itself.
